Found this game that seems way more fun than Monopoly and way more likely to start a fight between friends than Risk. I’d love to try this out.
Interesting little article delving into one of my interests: psychedelics. I’ve never used them personally, but I remain fascinated by descriptions and reports of those who have seen the other side. I’m not a true “psychonaut,” but I’m a consumer of their writings.
These substances seem to spark interesting ideas and concepts, and true psychonauts think in very interesting ways.
Specifically, the author is trying in this article to link the visuals common to experiences with the “magic” mushroom, namely “breathing” walls and items, with the underlying truth of reality as viewed through the lens of quantum physics. Admittedly, I know very little about quantum physics, having what is quite possibly an entire wrong and overly simple overview of the topic, despite the scant reading I’ve done.
Good read, though. I’ll probably check back on this website when I have more time.
This is a good read. I’ve never thought about how many things are “branded” these days. I’ve heard of No Logo, but never read it.
Think it’s time for a trip to the library.
I wrote this today as a joke, in about fifteen minutes. Totally worth it.
The Adventures of Groknar
One final effortless swing of his enormous sword cleaved the kitten hurtling towards Groknar’s face in two, the air stained with a crimson cloud and purple guts. It fell to the corpse-littered floor with a soft thud, muffled by the mountain of kitten fur and blood and innards at his feet.
“You’ll have to do better than that, Kalizor!” screamed the mighty warrior, his fearsome voice booming back to him a thousand times in the gigantic torchlit stone room.
A tittering laugh echoed around him, simultaneously seeming to come from everywhere and nowhere, along with the sound of heavy stone sliding across stone as the room slowly bloomed into brightness, light spilling from an opening that was growing on the north wall.
“Foul wizard,” Groknar muttered under his breath as he sheathed his sword, beginning to trudge through the thick carpet of thousands of dead kittens that were so recently trying to claw his face off, bones crunching beneath and pricking his bare feet, warm fur and intestines squishing between his toes.
He was well aware that the next room would hold a trap as well, perhaps even more deadly than a thousand angry kittens, but he moved forward unafraid. There were only two things on his mind as he walked towards certain doom: his lover the Queen of Hothmarnia, and sweet revenge against the evil sorcerer who had taken her hostage.
“Every so often, as per the directives of the Law of our Creator, a brief window of opportunity opens, whereby a select handful of our Family are required to make communication with our subjects, and offer you the chance to ask us any questions you would like answered.
“I am double-bound in this duty. It is required of me by The Law of our Creator to offer this opportunity to you at this time, though I am also bound by the Law of (planetary) Free Will and by Family Oaths, that there is only so much I am able to say.

I’m a big fan of crazy stuff, conspiracy theories, spiritual nonsense. I don’t believe everything I read, by far, and this is no exception.
This archived message board post by someone claiming to be a member of some ancient ruling bloodline, and (spoiler alert) the alien spawn of “what humans would refer to as Lucifer.” I’m halfway through it, and it’s fulfilled my criteria for “fun crazy stuff” so far.
